Here are some tips so you continue to get the best response from your email marketing campaigns.
Use a recognized from name. Most emails is ignored, or deleted when the receiver doesn’t recognize who the email is from. Be sure to use a from name that your subscribers are most likely to recognize and most cases this is not your own name but the name of your business.
Use a clear, concise subject line. The best email subject lines are simple and to the point. They indicate a clear benefit for opening the email to read its contents. Always ask yourself what’s in it for the reader to guide your choice.
Stick to a regular sending schedule. With a regular sending schedule your subscribers know when they can expect to hear from you. They begin to anticipate your emails. How often you send depends on the nature of your business. In most cases it makes sense to send at least once a month. Whatever you determine is best for your business stick to the schedule.
Segment your lists. When an email is targeted and relevant the recipient is more likely to engage with it. Keep your engagement levels high by segmenting your list in a way that makes sense for your business. You may want to segment by interests, location, or purchase history to name a few. Perhaps you have a group of people who regularly volunteer, or make donations. Segmenting allows you to maintain the relevance of the emails you send to the receiver. Which means you can expect a better response.
Review opt out comments. There are many reasons why someone may decide to unsubscribe from your email list. If given the opportunity many will let you know the reason. This valuable insight allows you to make improvements to your email marketing for better overall results.
